1Login to the HMM portal and request to receive an electronic bill of lading (eBL)
Login to the HMM portal, open a settled bill of lading (BL), and choose to receive an electronic BL by selecting the CargoX Platform as the preferred option. More information about this step can be found on the HMM portal.
2HMM creates and issues the eBL to the shipper
1. Creation of the eBL (HMM)
HMM creates the eBL and sends it electronically to the CargoX Platform.
2. Receipt of the issued eBL (Shipper)
The shipper receives the issued document in their CargoX Platform inbox and is also notified by email regarding this action.
3Transfer the possession of the eBL from the shipper to the consignee
After opening the envelope containing the eBL, all details of the eBL can be easily previewed by selecting the Preview button. Once the shipper has reviewed all information in the eBL, they can proceed by transferring possession of the eBL to the consignee. 4Consignee requests surrender for delivery
The consignee receives the eBL in their inbox and is also notified about this action via email. After opening the envelope containing the eBL, all details of the eBL can be easily previewed by selecting the Preview button. Once the consignee has reviewed all information in the eBL, they can proceed with requesting surrender for delivery.
