CargoX pricing policy

On CargoX there are no hidden fees, no licenses to pay, and no obligations. You only pay for the services you use (pay-per-use). Company accounts and user registration on the CargoX Platform are free of charge.

Documents

Every document that uses the blockchain for either proof of authenticity or proof of ownership (or both) requires payment for service. This cost can be covered by the issuer (uploader) of the document, or by the first recipient (collect payment).

Note

CargoX never double-charges its users. All the other parties involved in the transfer of that document partake in the process free of charge, and they can forward, return or finalize (release/accomplish or destroy) the document free of charge.

Your balance is charged at the moment of the envelope transfer. That is the moment when the actual blockchain transaction is enacted. Other actions, such as compose, seal, and unseal the envelope, and/or upload the document are not charged, nor are user account creation and management.

Standard envelope

The standard envelope allows for exchanging documents between connected companies on the CargoX Platform. The once-per-document fee is charged when the document is sent, but there is no extra charge for the standard envelope itself.

ACI envelope

Government-focused services such as advance cargo information (ACI) filings have a different pricing structure. Since all documents sent using the ACI envelope have a record of authenticity, a once-per-document fee is charged and an additional one-time per-envelope (transaction) processing fee is applied.

An ACI envelope can only be sent to a predefined recipient (specific governmental authority). All fees are always paid by the sender, as there is no collect-payment option.

Professional services

CargoX offers a fully automated and complete self-service experience. You can register your CargoX account without any intervention from our side. You can order service units (𝕌) on your own and receive a pro-forma invoice, and, after we receive your payment, a final invoice is also issued automatically. Verification processes are also automated for most cases. We provide all the documents and data for you to add CargoX in your vendor registration process without our involvement.

If nevertheless you require custom assistance from us, for an extra charge our professional services team can help you with:

• issuing invoices instead of pro-forma invoices
• manual processing of invoices
• blue-ink signed and wet stamped documents
• fill out your custom Word/Excel forms
• company verification

All payments will be deducted from your CargoX account’s service unit (𝕌) balance as soon as you have a sufficient balance (1 service unit (𝕌) = $1).
