Can the exporter upload certificates of origin and other documents instead of the actual issuer (certificate authority/chamber of commerce or other issuer)?

Egyptian customs require that the exporter directly submit ACI documents, including a certificate of origin. This means that even if the exporter receives a certificate like COO in a physical paper format, the exporter should proceed to scan the document and upload it as a PDF file on the CargoX Platform. The exporters are liable for manifesting authentic and correct documents to Egyptian customs.

Tip

With the newly introduced delegations feature on the CargoX Platform, the exporter company can now invite another registered and validated company (freight forwarders, agents, and similar specialists) to become its representative for ACI filings to the Egyptian Customs Authority.
